The SunEco algae oil process has been in development indirectly over decades, and directly by Global ReNergy and SunEco over a multi-year period which includes two years in a pilot scale plant in California. From the onset, the process was designed to be deployed in a large scale application to produce competitively priced algae derived products in today’s market. The results of the pilot plant, involving 18 harvests over the two year period, have been predictable and repeatable, and have given SunEco the confidence and blueprint to initiate a large scale deployment of the algae oil technology. Moving quickly to capitalize on a competitive advantage, SunEco has acquired an existing fish farm near Niland California which will allow us to accelerate a commercial scale algae oil development, preserve an early mover advantage, and keep us on the path of becoming a leading provider of renewable and cost competitive bioproducts.
In addition to providing clean and usable oil, the SunEco algae oil production process produces a high quality livestock and animal feed supplement. Unlike some other biofuels processes which consume foodgrade material or utilize agricultural quality land, the SunEco algae oil process supplements the global food supply without the use of agricultural land.
